Tata received the award for his invaluable contribution to the growth, development and success of the domestic auto industry, FADA said in a statement here.
The award was presented to Ratan Tata by FADA president Mohan Himatsingka along with other members of the federation at Tata's office in the city last week, the statement said.
The automobile retail trade in the country owes a lot to Tata for the leadership and direction provided by him over the years, he said.
