FIR lodged in misappropriation of 2898 quintal paddy

Police said FIR was lodged following SFC district manager Munazirul Islam's statement charging Pothia block's acting BAO-cum-incharge of a paddy procurement centre Kishori Rajak, executive assistant Shubhankar Karmkar and a private rice mill owner with the misappropriation earlier this year.

An investigation was on in the matter, he said.
