Fire at Badmal ordnance factory

A fire broke out in the ordnance factory at Badmal in Odisha's Balangir district today, but plant officials said no one was hurt in the mishap.
The incident took place at the time of melting of the explosives inside the filling station unit of the factory, General Manager of the factory A K Agrawal said.
Nobody was injured in the incident and the fire was controlled in about two hours, Agrawal said.
Fire tenders from Saintala rushed to the factory to extinguish the blaze, fire department officers said, adding that there has been no major damage to other units of the factory.
Soon after the fire, security personnel cordoned off the factory premises.
