Five killed in road accident in Guj

Five persons were killed today when the car they were travelling in collided with a tanker coming from the opposite direction, police said.
The incident took place on Tarapur-Vataman highway in the district and the deceased hailed from Amreli district, they said, adding the driver of the tanker has been nabbed.
The deceased were identified as Batuk Vanmali (50), Kailash Vanmali (45), Jeetendra Ghanshyam (20), Prabutha Kotadiya (26) and Hetal Kotadiya (22).
Their bodies were sent for post-mortem to a government hospital in Tarapur.
A complaint was lodged against the driver of the tanker and further investigations were on, police said.
