Forest deptt main impediment in implementation of FRA: NFFPFW

Those who attended the meeting on "New political initiative for the effective implemenation of Forest Right Act" were also of the opinion that the issue needs to be fought both inside and outside Parliament, National Forum of Forest People and Forest Workers said in a statement here.

MPs including Ali Anwar, S P S Baghel and Pakodi Lal Kol also attended the meeting organised by NFFPFW here yesterday.

The MPs opined that the fight for forest rights is not only for the forest people but also for the entire country, civil society and environment, the statement said.
