Four Muslim girl students have emerged as toppers in a written quiz competition held on Swami Vivekananda in Gujarat.
Felicitating the students on the occasion, state Chief Minister Anandi Patel said students must read inspirational books for building their character which will eventually help in building the nation.
On the occasion, Patel asked students to set up a small library at their houses by saving pocket money they get from their parents.
"National rebuilding is possible only through character building and for this reading of inspiring books regularly is very important. Every student should try to build a small library in his or her house by saving pocket money," Patel said while giving away prizes to toppers at the function organised by Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Memorial.
The winners included Rehana Rahim of a government high school from Junagadh, Yasrabanu Master from HBK New School, Aahmedabad, Zeelbanu Multani from J N Mehra high school in Amreli and Mariyamkhatu Aslam Khan from Ganga school in Valsad.
Patel launched 'Swachh Bharat" campaign of Ramakrishna Mission by releasing an information brochure stating future projects of the local centre here and views of Swami Vivekananda on cleanliness.
"At least 74,529 students of class IX and XII from 989 schools across the state had participated in the competition organised by Ramakrishna Mission," said Swami Nikhileswarananda, Head, Vadodara centre.
