Altogether nine deaths have taken place in Telangana this year, according to Nodal Officer for Swine Flu K Subhakar.
Three deaths occurred during the last few days causing concern, though the state government asserted that adequate stocks of medicines are available and sought to raise awareness about the disease among the public.
"The situation is under control, but we are watchful," the official said.
Reminding that the US-based Centre for Disease Control had warned that this winter could be a tough one in terms of swine flue occurrences, Subhakar had said earlier that there is a need to be vigilant to check the spread of the disease.
