The movie was also honoured for having an engaging music by Kristen Anderson-Lopez, Robert Lopez, Christophe Beck.
Josh Gad, who voiced Olaf the hilarious snowman was awarded the Voice Acting prize in animated feature.
Among the non-animated works which bagged an award was 'Pacific Rim' and 'The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey'.
While the former won Animated Effects in a Live Action Production award, the later was lauded for its Character Animation.
The 41st Annie Awards took place on February 1.
