Gehlot lays foundation of 160-MW project

Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot today laid foundation of Rs 640 crore gas based power project in Jaisalmer district.
The project will generate 160-MW electricity.
This is the fourth phase of Ramgarh Gas Thermal Power station located 60 km from Jaisalmer headquarters.
A senior officer of the nigam said that the plant will start generating 110 MW electricity by gas turbine by October 2014 and 50 MW electricity will be generated by steam turbine by March 2015.
State energy minister Jitendra Singh, PCC Chief Chandrabhan were present with him.
