The photo shows Malik holding a kitten Cleo. The face is not visible in the picture but Malik's tattoo give him away, reported Hollywood Life.
The 22-year-old former One Direction member is thought to have been seeing the US model since November. This is not the first time the couple has posted a photo on Instagram.
While Malik previously dated Perrie Edwards, Hadid, 20, was earlier in a relationship with Joe Jonas.
