Unable to bear the humiliation of gang-rape and subsequent apathy of police, which had allegedly refused to register a case after the rape, the class 11 girl had hanged herself on December 25.
Police registered a case after the suicide and arrested two accused yesterday, four days after the girl was gang-raped.
The family members alleged that the police refused to file an FIR against the accused after which the girl committed suicide on December 25.
The body of the girl has been sent for post mortem examination and the report is awaited.
