As per the schedule of programme, Prasad will announce series of initiatives and achievements of three units -- Department of Telecom, Department of Electronics and IT and Department of Posts, under his ministry.
The programme and schemes include one-month rental free for broadband and landline combo plans for new booking for MTNL Customers, CDAC developed integrated Indian languages virtual keyboard on Android platform and next generation exchanges of BSNL that will allow offering of multimedia service on landlines.
From December 25 onward, people will be able to book website name in Gujarati and Bengali script after the Minister flags off the project.
The list includes launch of e-governance competency framework under which DeitY will assess and enhance competencies of government officers for visualising, conceiving and delivering e-governance projects.
