According to a release here, a group of students had on Oct. 9 lodged an FIR against the magazine at Vasant Kunj police station based on which police confiscated the copies of the magazine.
The release states that the October 2014 issue of the magazine, which is at the heart of the row, was "centred on Bahujan-Shraman tradition" and brought to the fore several traditions, cultural functions, beliefs and thoughts, including "a re-rendition of the 'myth' of Durga".
"We demand that the BJP government should order immediate withdrawal of the case and ask police to stop its illegal action against the magazine and its editorial staff," the release said.
