Gram prices down in mixed trade

The wholesale pulses market ended on a mixed note today as prices of gram and kabuli gram declined on sluggish demand while urad and arhar traded higher on uptick in demand.
Traders said subdued demand from retailers against sufficient stocks position mainly led to the decline in gram and kabuli gram prices but pick up in demand from retailers helped urad and arhar prices to end higher.
In the national capital, gram, gramdal local and best quality were down by Rs 100 each to Rs 5,550-5,700, Rs 6,400-6,700 and Rs 6,800-6,900 per quintal.
Kabuli gram small variety also fell by Rs 200 to Rs 9,200-9,700 per quintal.
On the other hand, urad and its dal chilka local advanced by Rs 100 each to Rs 6,300-7,200 and Rs 6,500-6,600 per quintal. Its dal best quality and dhoya followed suit and traded higher by a similar margin to Rs 6,600-7,100 and Rs 7,000-7,200 per quintal.
Arhar and its dal dara variety moved up by Rs 150 and Rs 200 to Rs 4,650 and Rs 6,600-8,400 per quintal.
Moong its dal chilka local too went up by Rs 100 each to Rs 5,100-5,300 and Rs 5,600-5,800 per quintal. Its dal dhoya local and best quality enquired higher by the same margin to Rs 6,200-6,700 and Rs 6,700-6,900 per quintal.

Masoor small Rs 4,700-4,850, bold Rs 4,750-4,950, Dal Masoor local Rs 5,100-5,600, best quality Rs 5,200-5,700, Malka local Rs 5,300-5,500, best Rs 5,400-5,600, Moth Rs 3,650-4,050, Arhar Rs 4,650, Dal Arhar Dara Rs 6,600-8,400.
Gram Rs 5,550-5,700, Gram dal (local) Rs 6,400-6,700, best quality Rs 6,800-6,900, Besan (35 kg), Shakti Bhog Rs 2,550, Rajdhani Rs 2,550, Rajma Chitra Rs 7,500-10,300, Kabuli Gram small Rs 9,200-9,700, Dabra Rs 2,700-2,800, Imported Rs 4,700-5,100, Lobia Rs 5,600-5,800, Peas white Rs 2,650-2,675 and green Rs 2,850-2,950.
