Gur prices end steady in Delhi, fall in Muzaffarnagar

Gur prices remained flat at the wholesale market in the national capital today following sporadic demand amid restricted supplies.
On the other hand, prices declined in Muzaffarnagar by up to Rs 150 per quintal on increased supplies from manufacturing belts amid limited buying.
Marketmen said ample availability of sugarcane to gur manufacturers particularly increased supplies of gur khurpa and Laddoo, weighed on prices in Muzaffarnagar gur market.
In Muzaffarnagar, gur khurpa prices slipped from previous close of Rs 2,750-2,825 to settle at Rs 2,600-2,700 per quintal.
Similarly, gur laddoo slipped to end at Rs 2,850-2,950 instead of Rs 2,850-3,050 per quintal.
Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):
Gur chakku Rs 3,100-3,200, pedi Rs 3,400-3,500, dhayya Rs 3,500-3,600 and shakkar Rs 3,600-3,700.
Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,500-2,550, chakku Rs 2,675-3,025, khurpa Rs 2,600-2,700 and Ladoo Rs 2,850-2,950.
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 3,025-3,125 and dhayya Rs 3,150-3,175.
