Stating this here today, an official spokesman said these instructions would be effective with immediate effect.

He said that as per the instructions for sanction of medical advance, in case of government hospital, an advance of 90 per cent of the estimate will be allowed.
In case of government-approved private hospitals which are allowed at PGIMER, Chandigarh rates, an advance of 50 per cent will be allowed, however, 90 per cent of the amount will be allowed as advance in case of identified package rates notified by the state government.
