Clerk Shiv Kumar, his advocate son Rahul Goel and his nephew Anuj Goel, who is currently lodged in jail, were yesterday booked by the police here.
Kumar, Rahul and Anuj were previously arrested and lodged in jail for their alleged involvement in the scam, they said.
Several people, including revenue clerks, have been booked by the police after cases were registered against them on charges of grabbing government land worth several crores of rupees at Hastinapur sanctuary in the district.
Recently, six persons, including the then Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Jansath Dinesh Saxena, had been booked in this connection. Three land mafias, who were absconding, have also been arrested.
With the arrests and detentions in the matter, a magisterial probe has been ordered into a recent fire incident in the collectorate's record room in Muzaffarnagar, in which important records of court were burnt. The DM, however has "not ruled" out the incident being a conspiracy hatched by the accused in the Hastinapur Sanctuary land-grabing scam.
