The First Bench Comprising Chief Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul and Justice M M Sundresh, on a PIL filed by one V Muthukumar posed a question to the counsel R Venkatesh what was the interest of the petitioner in the matter.
Justice Sundresh asked the counsel whether the petitioner had taken any steps to stop the illegal quarrying and directed the advocate not to bring such things to the court.
The petitioner contended that "Kanimavala Muraikedu Sagayam Ayvukkulu Atharavu Eyyakkam-Tamil Nadu", was floated and passed 13 resolutions showing their involvement in the Sagayam inquiry commission.
He also submitted that the organisation was acting as a parallel to the Sagayam commission.
