Heat wave in Raj, Churu hottest at 47.7 deg C
Press Trust of India Jaipur Rajasthan continued to reel under the scorching heat wave conditions with Churu recording the highest temperature in the state at 48.5 degrees Celsius today.
Churu was followed by Sriganganagar which sizzled at 47.7 degrees Celsius, the MeT Department said here.
Bikaner, Jaisalmer, Barmer, Jodhpur and Ajmer recorded maximum temperatures of 47.3, 47, 46.2, 46, 45.6 degrees Celsius respectively.
Jaipur also braved a hot day at 44.9 degreed Celsius, it said.
Mercury in Pilani and Dabok settled at 44.1 and 43.8 degrees Celsius respectively.
According to a MeT forecast, the heat wave conditions would prevail in the state for the next 24 hours.
