Jalpaiguri received 40.7 mm rainfall, the highest in the state since yesterday, the MeT department said.
Coochbehar district received 26.4 mm rain while Darjeeling had 5.1 mm rain.
A few places in gangetic West Bengal received some rain since yesterday, with Asansol recording 11.2 mm and Sriniketan 8.4 mm rain.
Both Bankura and Sriniketan recorded 35.5 degrees Celsius, the day's highest temperature in the state, according to the MeT department.
Kolkata, with the day's highest temperature of 34.6 degrees Celsius and no rain, was very humid throughout the day, causing lot of discomfort for the dwellers.
