Speaking at the 2016 Forbes Women's Summit at Pier Sixty in New York, she said, "In Hollywood, everyone wants to build you up and tear you down.
"My mother had a driver who came to the house to take her to work and I hated it. He would take my mother away. But what it taught me was how hard she worked to create opportunities for other women. She was a trailblazer in Hollywood.
