"Honeywell fully supports the US and India's commitment to a global HFC phasedown," the company said in a statement here.
On his three-day visit to the US, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with President Barack Obama at the White House on June 7.
Both leaders have vowed to early ratification of the Paris Climate Agreement and have committed to work toward a global agreement to cut heat-trapping climate pollutants known as HFCs under the Montreal Protocol this year, Honeywell said.
The company said: "Honeywell has formed commercial partnerships with Indian firms to Make in India and adopt our broad portfolio of reduced- and low-global-warming-potential (LGWP) solutions that are available today to accelerate the transition away from HFCs and other high-GWP materials."
"We are continually innovating to produce next-generation, environmentally preferable alternatives to help countries achieve aggressive goals to reduce greenhouse gas emissions," it added.
More than 8 million cars on the road today safely use Solstice yf. That number is expected to grow to more than 18 million cars by the end of 2016, it said.
