Himachal Pradesh Governor Acharya Devvrat today issued a notification extending the special session of the state assembly to pass the GST Bill by a day.
The special session will begin on May 26.
Earlier, the government had planned a one-day special session to pass the Bill. However, due to the demise of former Ayurveda Minister Karan Singh last week, it had to be extended as the first day will only have obituary references, a official release said.
The GST Bill will be taken up and passed on May 27, it said.
The state government has also made its revenue projections in the Budget with hopes that the GST regime will be rolled out from July 2017.
