HPEA opposes grant of extension to cadre posts

Himachal Power Engineers Association (HPEA) has opposed granting of extension in cadre posts, saying the move is blocking the promotion avenues of employees and leading to stagnation.
It has come to the knowledge of the Association that extension may be granted toa Chief Engineer of the Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board Limited (HPSEBL) following which the association decided to oppose themove, a spokesman of HPEA said.
"It has been consistent stand of HPEA that no extension should be granted after superannuation at any level and power engineers met the Chief Minister in this regard and got a positive response from him," General Secretary of the association Lokesh Thakur said.

A delegation of HPEA would also meet the Chief Minister to request himnot to consider any proposal to grant extension to any individual onthe cadre posts of Power Engineers, he added.
