The Haryana urban local bodies department has decided to constitute a cadre to resolve the problems being faced by the officers of municipalities in the state regarding their transfers.
Urban Local Bodies minister, Kavita Jain gave this information while presiding over a review meeting of the department here, an official release said.
She said that the same cadre would be allotted to employees of municipal corporations, municipal councils and municipalities to ensure they get equal benefits.
In this regard, officers have been directed to prepare and present the data of employees, she said.
She directed that CCTV cameras be installed in all municipalities to strengthen the security system in urban areas.
The officers informed that directions have been issued in this regard to all municipalities and they have been asked to submit lists.
Thereafter, giving approval to the proposal of the municipalities, CCTV cameras would be installed at all important places, they said.
Jain directed acceleration of the pace of changing CFL bulbs with LED bulbs to save on the electricity bills and strengthening of the street lighting system. The minister directed the officers to explore possibilities for providing wi-fi facility in each city of the state.
It was also said that people would be made aware through campaigns to inspire them to use open places in cities as parking spots.
A notification had already been issued in this regard, she added.
