Idol weighing 20 kg retrieved from well

A 20 kg five-metal idol of a goddess was retrieved while a well was being cleaned in Kurichi area here today.
The two-foot-tall 'panchaloha' idol was handed over to the revenue department for further assessment of the period to which it belonged and its exact value, official sources said said.
