After reports spread about the casting, Elba's publicist said the story is not true, reported Digital Spy.
Rumor of Elba's casting for the fourth installment of the "Jurassic Park" film franchise first appeared on two sites, Jurassic World Movie News and Acting Auditions.
The British star wasn't the only famous actor linked to the project. Josh Brolin, Bryce Dallas Howard and Ty Simpkins were previously mentioned as candidates to star in the movie.
Colin Trevorrow is on board to direct the follow-up to 2001's "Jurassic Park III", which is said to feature a new dinosaur. Other plot details are not available just yet.
