On the eve of counting of votes in Delhi, Congress leader Digvijay Singh today said if the exit polls are correct, it was "disastrous" for his party which is projected to get not more than five seats in the 70-member House.
He added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would also be forced to introspect if projections of BJP losing in the polls come true.
"I don't trust Poll Surveys but if what they show is correct, (it is) obviously disastrous for Congress but Modi/ BJP would also need introspection," the Congress General Secretary tweeted.
Congress has officially rejected the exit poll projections which did not give the party more than five seats.
In the elections, a resurgent AAP-led by Arvind Kejriwal has emerged as front-runner in all exit polls.
The polls shown on television channels two days back predicted BJP as the number two party and Congress way behind with none of them giving it more than 5 seats.
The polls are seen as a comment on Modi's popularity but BJP has already sought to shield him by saying it was not a referendum for the Prime Minister.
