Acting on a tip-off, police arrested one Siyaram and recovered six country-made pistols, four firearms, four half-made pistols and manufacturing items from a secluded garden here, Senior Superintendent of Police, Shalabh Mathur said.
Two of the accused, identified as Sitaram and Ramu Shukla, succeeded in escaping from the spot, he said, adding that all the three accused are residents of Shivrajpur.
It is being suspected the firearms were being manufactured for causing trouble in the upcoming Panchayat polls in the state, he said, adding the accused would have supplied them in other districts.
