Meanwhile, groundnut oil, refined palmolein and linseed oil held steady owing to lack of any major buying activity.
In futures, castorseeds recovered smartly on good speculative offtake on the back of renewed export inquiries.
Turning to non-edible segment, Castorseeds bold went down by Rs 25 per 100 kg to Rs 3,925 from Wednesday's closing level of Rs 3,950. Castoroil commercial also eased by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 815 from Rs 820. Linseed oil closed unchanged at Rs 840 per 10 kg.
Moving to futures, castorseed September contract resumed slightly higher at Rs 4,170 and shot up further to finish at Rs 4,260 over its previous close of Rs 4,165, showing a gain of Rs 95 per tonne.
However, moving to edible segment, groundnutoil and refined palmolein were unaltered at Rs 1,250 per 10 kg and Rs 612 per 10 kg, respectively.
