"About 30 scholars from India, Pakistan and Iran will present their research papers on the theme 'Sufism and Punjabi Culture'," Jaspal Singh, Vice Chancellor of the University said here today.
The VC said that former Assam Governor Sibtey Razi, former Union minister Aarif Mohd Khan and chairman of Sufi Foundation India A A Siddiqui will participate in the function.
Well known sufis from Ajmer dargah, Qutub Saheb, Delhi, and Farid Saheb, Multan, will also take part in the function.
On the occasion, in collaboration with Sufi Foundation India, an evening of Sufi Qawwali will also be held in which renowned Artist Haji Aslam Sabri will perform.
