J-K govt warns strict action against encroachers

Jammu and Kashmir government today warned stringent action against those who encroached upon government land and indulged in unauthorised constructions in Jammu.
In compliance with the directions of High Court, Deputy Commissioner, Jammu, Ajeet Kumar Sahu asked people that any encroachment upon the water ponds and demarcated forest land shall be treated as contempt of court and suitable legal action against the violators would be initiated.
J&K High Court had issued notices to the state government over large scale encroachments of prime land of Jammu Development Authority, worth crores of rupees, in Gole Gujral belt by Gujjars.
