Jagannath Temple Administration signs MoU with NTPC

The Sri Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) today signed a MoU with NTPC and CESU for lighting along Grand Road (Bada Danda) and around the temple.
The agreement was signed between the chief administrator of SJTA Arabinda Padhee and executive director of NTPC V B Fernandez in the presence of chief minister Naveen Patnaik at the state secretariat here.
As per the MoU, NTPC would provide financial assistance of about Rs 2.51 crore as part of its corporate social responsibility for installation of LED lighting system.
A total of 192 LED lights would be erected on both sides of the Grand Road and around the Sri Jagannath temple.
The installation work would be completed before Rath Yatra festival, Padhee said.
