Jama Masjid blast: Court issues production warrant for Jundal

A Delhi court today issued production warrant for suspected LeT terrorist and 26/11 key handler Abu Jundal for his appearance in connection with the 2010 Jama Masjid blast case.
Additional Sessions Judge Savita Rao issued production warrant against 30-year-old Jundal, for May 23.
Jundal is at present lodged in a Mumbai jail in connection with terror cases there.
The Special Cell of Delhi Police had last year chargesheeted Jundal alias Syed Zaibuddin for his involvement in the September 19, 2010 Jama Masjid blast case in which 15 other suspected Indian Mujahideen modules are also accused.
Jundal has been chargesheeted under section 471 (using as genuine a forged document), 489 B (using as genuine, forged or counterfeit currency), 489 C (possessing counterfeit currency) and 120 B (criminal conspiracy) of Indian Penal Code.

He has also been booked under various provisions of the Explosive Substances Act and the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act, besides the Passport Act and Arms Act.

The charge sheet also said that besides the Mumbai mayhem, Jundal, who was deported from Saudi Arabia in June last year, confessed to his involvement in various terror attacks across India including Aurangabad arms haul case, Chinnaswamy stadium blast case, the 2010 German bakery blast and the Nasik Academy attack case.
He has also been booked by NIA for allegedly conspiring to launch terror strikes across the country.
Besides Jundal, a total of 15 IM men -- Mohd Irshad Khan, Asadullah Rehman, Mohd Adil, Bashir Hasan, Abdul Rehman, Mohd Kafil, Mohd Quateel Siddiqui, Gauhar Aziz, Gayur Ahmed, Mohd Aftab Alam and Tariq Anjum Ahsan, Mohd Shakeel, Kamal Hasan and Kafil have been chargesheeted by the Delhi Police for their alleged role in various terror strikes across country.

Of the 15, Quateel Siddiqui died in Pune jail when he was in custody of Pune ATS.
