Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar today directed his officials to "immediately put up the file" regarding Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's letter seeking services of IFS official Sanjeev Chaturvedi.
In an indication that the government would take a positive view on Kejriwal's request, the minister also said the NDA government gives "equal importance" to the communication it receives from chief ministers of all states.
"I have asked officials to put up file before me immediately. We give equal importance to the letters, communication we receive from all chief ministers," Javadekar said in response to Kejriwal's letter.
Kejriwal wrote to the Centre yesterday seeking services of Indian Forest Service officer Sanjeev Chaturvedi, who is likely to head the anti-corruption branch of Delhi government.
Chaturvedi is currently serving as the deputy director of AIIMS. Kejriwal has sought services of the IFS officer in Delhi government as an Officer on Special Duty.
The anti-graft body is controlled directly by the chief minister.
In his letter to Javadekar, who is the cadre controlling officer of all the IFS officers, Kejriwal has asked his intervention into the matter.
