"Jharkhand was created 12 years ago with a purpose to develop the mineral-rich region. But the state stands where it was before the division, because it seemed that the state was created only for some self-centred and selfish political leaders, who only thought for their welfare, and could not to utilise central funds," Jaiswal said at a press conference here.
Blaming the ruling parties, including regional ones for the underdevelopment of tribals, minorities, Dalits and the poor, he said the people would give a fitting reply in the June 12 Hatia assembly bypoll for being deprived of progress.
"I addressed four meetings in the Hatia assembly constituency and what I found is that the people are dissatisfied with the state government on the development front," claimed Jaiswal, who campaigned for Congress candidate Sunil Kumar Sahay.
