Members of Dalit community in the district today threatened to launch a stir from March 15 if two more persons accused of raping a woman belonging to their community were not arrested.
A married Dalit woman, a native of Harsola village in Kaithal district, was allegedly gang-raped on March 9 by six youths near Roopgarh village in the district.
The decision to hold the stir was taken during a community meeting held today where several locals leaders condemned the incident.
During the meeting, District Collector Ajit Balaji Joshi informed the members that Rs 95,000 has been given to the woman as compensation so far.
On Thursday, a member of National Commission for Scheduled Castes had visited the village to meet the victim and police officials.
Four of the six accused have been arrested so far, SP Abhishek Jorwal said.
