John, the only son of Johnny and June Carter Cash, was on his way home from Newfoundland after a hunting trip.
Police were called to Deer Lake airport on Monday in response to a call about a man at the terminal who had taken his clothes off, People magazine said citing a report from the St John's Telegram.
Cash, 44, was arrested for disturbing the peace and being drunk in public and was held in police custody until he was sober.
