Junior Engineer held on graft charges

Surinder Pal Singh was arrested for accepting the bribe from farmer Jagvinder Singh in lieu of transferring a power connection to a new transformer, an official spokesman said here.

The necessary expenses for transfer of the connection had been borne by the complainant a couple of months back, he said.
