"The JVM MLAs and its leaders are leaving Marandi to join the BJP as they realised how Marandi left the BJP even after the party made him a leader. He left the party to serve his own ambitions," BJP state unit spokesman Kamal Khan alleged in a release.
Reacting to Marandi's allegations that the BJP was luring away his legislators and leaders on various promises, Khan said the party had neither lured nor given any assurance to any JVM leader who joined or were willing to join the party.
Along with some leaders, five of the 11 JVM MLAs recently announced joining the BJP and a couple of more MLAs are stated to be in the pipeline.
