Kangana will be seen playing the role of a nautch girl in 'Rajjo' and the actress has even undergone rigorous Kathak training to perform the mujra.
The mujra dance form has featured prominently in a number of Bollywood movies. Some of the most memorable ones are 'Pyar Kiya To Darna Kya' from the film 'Mughal-e-Azam' in which actress Madhubala pulled off the hit Mujra number with elan.
Rekha's 'Dil Cheez Kya Hai' and 'In Aakhon Ki Masti Ke' from the 1981 film 'Umrao Jaan' are also the most remembered murja numbers in Bollywood.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan performed on 'Salaam' in the remake of 'Umrao Jaan'. In 'Mangal Pandey: The Rising', Rani Mukherjee played the part of a prostitute, who falls in love with the protagonist. The mujra in that film was 'Main Vari Vari'.
The latest mujra song happens to be of Karreena Kapoor Khan as she did the song 'Dil Mera Muft Ka' in 'Agent Vinod' (2012).
