Shiv Kapur will try to make a comeback from his recent bout of jaundice that put him out of action for more than a month when he competes at the Shinhan Donghae Open starting here tomorrow.
"The doctor allowed me to practice and I going to test myself this week," said Kapur on the eve of the KRW 1.2 billion (approximately US$1 million) golf event.
The Big Three of Indian golf, who are now trying to recapture their form, Jeev Milkha Singh, Arjun Atwal and Jyoti Randhawa, will be joined by Rahil Gangjee, who is in decent form, and Gaganjeet Bhullar, who continues his return from an injury.
Other Indians in the field include young Khalin Joshi and Kapur.
Kapur, who as an amateur won the Asian Games gold in Korea back in 2002, has happy memories of the country, but said, "That was a long time back. Now I am hoping to get back to being healthy and get to my form."
Meanwhile, Australia's Scott Hend is ready to consolidate his position atop the Asian Tour Order of Merit with another fine showing.
The merit leader arrived at the Bears Best Cheongna Golf Club in the best of form having secured two victories in Thailand this season.
He was narrowly denied his 10th Asian Tour title after a play-off defeat in Switzerland earlier this month.
