Mother of Kargil martyr Captain Vikram Batra, Kamal Kanta Batra, who had unsuccessfully contested Lok Sabha election from Hamirpur constituency on Aam Aadmi Party ticket, today resigned from the party.
Her husband G L Batra also resigned from the party, AAP's state unit sources said.
The resignation has come as a setback for the party at a time when newly-appointed convener Rajan Sushant has chalked out an elaborate plan to strengthen and expand the party.
