Khattar hails Uttrakhand people, including those in Haryana

On the eve of Uttarakhand Day, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar extended greeting to people of Uttarakhand, including those living in Haryana and said they were were hard working and their unity was exemplary.
The Chief Minister was speaking as the chief guest on the occasion of a function organised by the Uttarakhand Samaj Pratinidhi Sabha, Haryana, to commemorate Uttarakhand Day at the premises of Paper Mill in Yamunanagar today.
On the occasion, the Chief Minister launched the newsletter 'Hilans Darpan', started as the voice of the people of Uttarkhand and announced to give a Force vehicle for Joshimath, Uttarakhand.
In his presence, Chief Parliamentary Secretary, Seema Trikha, handed over the keys to the Force vehicle to Bharat Bhushan Juyal, head of the Uttarakhand Samaj Pratinidhi Sabha, Haryana. This vehicle would be used to take the idol of Lord Badrinath to Joshimath at the start of winter and from Joshimath to Badrinath Dham at the start of summer.
Khattar announced to give Rs five lakh each to Uttarakhand Garhwal Sabha, Yamunanagar, and Kumaon Hitkari Sabha, Yamunanagar, for the construction of two dharamshalas.
He also announced to give a sum of Rs 11 lakh to Uttarakhand Samaj Pratinidhi Sabha, Haryana, for completion of various works for the welfare of people belonging to Uttarakhand.
He specified that on the demand of people belonging to Uttarakhand, steps would be taken to start new bus routes from various parts of Haryana to Uttarakhand and makes changes in the schedule of existing buses.
He added that the Haryana government would write to the Railways for starting additional trains from various parts of Haryana to Uttarakhand.
Haryana Vidhan Sabha Speaker, Kanwar Pal, was also present on the occasion.
