Larsen & Toubro (L&T) is the authorised distributor of equipment and parts manufactured by Japan's Komatsu and Swedish Scania, for the Indian market.
The facility was recently opened by Executive Vice-President and Head-Machinery Group, S R Subramanian. Komatsu India's Managing Director K Mizuhara was also present.
The service centre is located in the expanding area of MIDC's Butibori, about 30 km from the city.
Nagpur has a huge number of L&T-supplied Komatsu and Scania machines operating in coal, limestone and manganese mining projects.
The centre will cover eastern parts of Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh.
L&T's other service centres are located in Kanchipuram (south), Pune (west), Bahadurgarh (north) and Durgapur (east), a company release said.
