Korean tech giant LG has launched a new smartphone - K7i - that it claims "keeps mosquitoes at bay".
"The phone is powered by the same 'mosquito away technology' that is available in some of our televisions and ACs. We will see the kind of response we get to this device and decide if we will extend it to others smartphones as well," LG Electronics India Chief Marketing Officer Amit Gujral told PTI.
The technology uses a ultrasonic frequency that is safe for humans but keeps mosquitoes away, he explained.
Priced at Rs 7,990, the device features a 5-inch display, 2GB RAM, 16GB inbuilt memory, 8MP rear and 5MP front camera and 2500 mAh battery.
