The 26-year-old "Mean Girls" star was recently charged with third degree misdemeanour assault following a spat at a club in New York.
She was released and now her estranged father Michael is urging his daughter to seek help, reported Daily Star online.
"I just want her to go into rehab. I love her and I just want her to get the help she needs," he said.
In a bid to help speed up her decision making, Michael said that he has a spot waiting for her at the Betty Ford Clinic in California, where Lindsay spent time in 2010.
She has also previously checked into the Cirque Lodge in Utah.
Michael also said that Lindsay is refusing to speak with him after he secretly recorded his phone call following her fight with her mother Dina in October and then released it to the media.
"I have called, but of course she has not picked up," he added.
