Singh, who held discussions with officials of Directorate of Education at Rajnivas today, reviewed the education scenario and expressed concern over the dip in the percentage of passes.
A release from office of Lt Governor said at the end of the review meeting, the Lt Governor ordered formation of an official level committee, under chairmanship of Secretary to Education, to ascertain the cause of fall in pass percentage.
There was a overall decline in pass percentage in plus two exam by 1.25 per cent in the examination held in March this year.
The Lt Governor also held a meeting with the Inspector General of Police, the Chief Secretary (in charge) and other officials reviewing the law and order situation here and also other issues relating to developmental works.
