Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis directed today all the state departments that implement schemes sponsored by the Centre to submit a detailed plan about their implementation in the next 15 days.
The plan should include information about the schemes, funds allocated for them, expenditure and future planning, according to an official release.
He was speaking at a meeting at mantralaya (secretariat) called to review implementation and progress of various schemes sponsored by the Centre and the World Bank.
"The chief minister asked various department secretaries to submit details like information on implementation of centrally-sponsored schemes, funds allocated for them, expenditure, and future planning in 15 days," a statement from the Chief Minister's Office said.
The meeting was attended by CMOs additional chief secretary Pravin Pardeshi, additional principal secretary of planning department Debashish Chakravarty and other officers of departments concerned.
In order to get funds due to the government in these schemes, Fadnavis asked the departments concerned to expedite the process of submitting utility certificate related to expenditure incurred on them and demand for remaining amount.
He asked the secretaries of the departments concerned to take a regular review of the funds received for the schemes and expenditure incurred.
Amounts of scholarship and honorarium should be deposited to the bank accounts of beneficiaries at the given date every month, Fadnavis said.
