Police said Sornakumari threw the acid at Lakshmanaiah, her sister's husband, after she was allegedly pestered by him over some domestic issue late last night.
She chased him when he ran out of her house and threw the acid. However, he ducked and a portion of the acid fell on the boy walking on the roadside, RK Nagar Police Inspector, V Devendran told PTI.
The victims were admitted to a government hospital, and the woman arrested under IPC 326 A, a section incorporated by the Criminal Law Amendment Act 2013 which provides for stringent punishment to act as a deterrent to help halt acid attacks.
The injuries sustained by the victims were not of a serious nature as it was diluted toilet-use acid, the Inspector added.
